With over 40 years of experience under his belt, Dr. Teasdale brings an immense amount of passion to his patients. He enjoys helping his patients improve their quality of life, and he views everyone he sees as a friend who he doesn’t want to let down. For him, providing high-quality dentistry also involves a great deal of education, which is why he likes to take continuing education courses and spending ample face-to-face time with his patients. By blending the latest techniques and technologies, as well as excellent communication, he strives to create a truly one-of-a-kind space for both his patients and his team. Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Teasdale has always enjoyed the creative and analytical aspects of medicine, but he realized becoming a physician wasn’t a perfect fit for him. He enjoyed working with his hands and wanted to be able to build long-lasting relationships with his patients, so the more he learned about dentistry, the more he realized it was the ideal career choice.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Teasdale completed his undergraduate studies at Pomona College in Claremont, California. He later attended Washington University School of Dental Medicine in St. Louis, where he earned his Doctor of Medical in Dentistry.
Over his past 40+ year-career, Dr. Teasdale has completed thousands of hours of continuing education in all aspects of dentistry. He has attended renowned educational institutes and is a Fellow of the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies (LVI), Institute for Minimally Invasive Dentistry, and the World Congress of Lasers in Dentistry. He has also remained abreast the latest advancements in technology and techniques in the dental field, and he is involved with the VIVOS institute and Spear Education.
Dr. Teasdale believes that every single case is unique; therefore, every patient he treats is also additional education. He always takes his whole patient into account, listening to their symptoms and individual experiences to thoroughly and accurately diagnose the problems they face.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
Dr. Teasdale has lived in several states throughout his life, including Georgia, New Jersey, California, and Missouri. But ultimately, Portland is his home and has been since 1981. He and his wife, Rebecca, who is a visual artist, have been together for over 40 years. They have four children and nine grandchildren, so their home is never quiet for very long!
In his free time, Dr. Teasdale enjoys writing, reading, listening to music, and lately, learning how to be a better cook. He also likes to tinker with tools and designs, repair things around his home, and do maintenance on his car. One of his favorite ways to spend his free time is with his friends and family!
An interesting fact about Dr. Teasdale is that he has a better-than-average memory, so it’s natural that he loves trivia!
